Preparing for Adobe AD0-E903 (Workfront Project Manager) — tips or resources?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning to take the Adobe AD0-E903 exam (Adobe Workfront Project Manager Professional certification) in the next couple of months. It covers project/portfolio setup, task and issue management, resource allocation, and reporting within Workfront.

I’ve been going through some material on Prepbolt as part of my prep, but I’d rather build real understanding of the tool than just memorize answers. For anyone who has already taken this exam or works with Adobe Workfront professionally:

  • What study resources (official Adobe docs, courses, hands-on practice) actually helped you?
  • How much real Workfront experience did you have before attempting it?
  • Any topics you found trickier than expected (e.g., reporting, resource management)?

Any genuine advice or study-plan structure would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Official Adobe Experience League documentation and the exam guide for AD0-E903 are the best starting point. The exam guide lists the exact domain weights, so reviewing each topic against the docs helps find gaps.

For hands-on preparation, navigate an active sandbox or test instance if you have access to one. Workfront questions often focus on the setup hierarchy: templates, project statuses, custom forms, and approval processes. If you do not have sandbox access, walk through Adobe’s step-by-step tutorials and video walkthroughs on Experience League.

Reporting and resource allocation tend to be the trickiest sections on the test. Pay close attention to:

  • Custom report creation, especially matrix and grouping options, plus text mode basics if referenced.
    • Resource Planner vs. Workload Balancer, including how allocation percentages and availability calculate.
    • Request queues and routing rules, particularly how an issue converts into a project or task.
A practical study plan is to read through the Adobe documentation for one core module at a time, take notes on the navigation paths and permission requirements, and then review sample questions.
