Record Collection Over my Head

I have been taking my time working through the Basic JavaScript lessons. This one seemed to jump over my head. I feel like I have used my hints, and am not showing an error, but the code is not yet correct.

Would someone mind taking a look and seeing where I went off track?

Many Thanks,
D

Your code so far

// Setup
var collection = {
2548: {
  albumTitle: 'Slippery When Wet',
  artist: 'Bon Jovi',
  tracks: ['Let It Rock', 'You Give Love a Bad Name']
},
2468: {
  albumTitle: '1999',
  artist: 'Prince',
  tracks: ['1999', 'Little Red Corvette']
},
1245: {
  artist: 'Robert Palmer',
  tracks: []
},
5439: {
  albumTitle: 'ABBA Gold'
}
};

// Only change code below this line
function updateRecords(object, id, prop, value) {
if (prop !== "tracks" && value !== ""){
  object[id][prop] = value;
} else if (prop === "tracks" && !object[id].hasOwnProperty("tracks")) {
  object[id][prop] =[value];
} else if (prop === "tracks" && value !== ""){
  object[id][prop]= [value];
} else if (value === "") {
  delete object[id][prop];
}
return object;

}

updateRecords(collection, 5439, 'artist', 'ABBA');

Challenge: Record Collection

Link to the challenge:

when the object already has the tracks property you don’t want to overwrite it, you want to add an element to the array

Thank you so much for catching my mistake.

I really appreciate your time and effort.
