Request for guidance regarding my Python Certification Exam results and Project Certifications

Hello freeCodeCamp Team,

I hope you are doing well.

My name is Sanay Hajirezaei, and I am a 15-year-old student from Iran. Along with my twin sister, I have been actively involved in science, technology, artificial intelligence, programming, and innovation for several years. We are members of the International Federation of Inventors and have had the honor of representing our country in numerous international competitions.

Some of my academic and innovation achievements include:

  • :2nd_place_medal: Silver Medal – International Exhibition of Inventions Switzerland

  • :2nd_place_medal: Silver Medal – International 1I1W Innovation Competition, Istanbul

  • :globe_showing_europe_africa: Top 44 Teams Worldwide – NASA Space Apps Challenge 2025

  • :globe_showing_europe_africa: Top 30 Teams – AIOCUP International Competition 2026 (Netherlands)

  • :trophy: Multiple national awards in Artificial Intelligence competitions (Sandbox & AIOCUP)

  • :sports_medal: 4th Place Nationwide – Khwarizmi Youth Festival

  • :sports_medal: Selected among the top participants in the National Student Research Competition

  • :1st_place_medal: 1st Place (Provincial) – Farda Culture and Arts Festival

In addition to my research and innovation activities, I have experience in:

  • Artificial Intelligence

  • Web Development

  • Python

  • JavaScript

  • PHP

  • HTML & CSS

  • Financial Literacy

  • Computer Literacy

  • Adobe Photoshop

Recently, I completed the Python learning path on freeCodeCamp:

I also successfully completed all five Project Certification projects:

  1. Build a User Configuration Manager — Project Certification

  2. Build a Budget App — Project Certification

  3. Build a Polygon Area Calculator — Project Certification

  4. Build a Hash Table — Project Certification

  5. Implement the Tower of Hanoi Algorithm — Project Certification

After completing all the required projects, I opened the Python Certification Exam section and saw the following message:

Congratulations, you have completed all the requirements to qualify for the exam.

Under the Attempts section, my exam currently shows:

  • Date Taken: July 4, 2026, 10:56:53 PM

  • Score: Pending

  • Status: Pending

I would greatly appreciate your guidance regarding a few questions:

  1. Since I have successfully completed all five Project Certification projects, how can I receive the corresponding certifications?

  2. Is there any additional step that I need to complete before the certificates are issued?

  3. Approximately how long does it take for the Python Certification Exam to be reviewed?

  4. Where can I view my final exam result and, if I pass, where will the official certification become available?

I truly appreciate the effort that the freeCodeCamp team puts into creating such high-quality educational resources. The Python curriculum has been an outstanding learning experience, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue growing through your platform.

Thank you very much for your time and support. I look forward to your response.

Kind regards,

Sanay Hajirezaei

the exam evaluation can take up to 7 days

once you receive the exam result back, it will be shown in the exam page on the site http://freecodecamp.org/learn/python-v9/exam-python-certification/exam-python-certification

if you pass the exam, you will be able to claim the certification in the settings https://www.freecodecamp.org/settings#cert-python-v9

Thank you very much for your valuable guidance and your prompt response.

Following your instructions, I visited the pages using the links you kindly provided.

In addition to the Python Certification Exam, I also attempted the JavaScript Certification Exam and the Responsive Web Design Certification Exam.

During both exams, I successfully completed all of the required tasks. Each exercise was marked as 100% correct, I was automatically advanced to the next step, and the corresponding check mark appeared for each completed section.

However, after completing the exercises, I was presented with the page shown in the attached screenshot instead of the expected certification or exam status page.

Could you please let me know whether this is the expected behavior, or if there is an additional step that I need to complete?

Thank you once again for your time, support, and the excellent learning experience that freeCodeCamp provides.

Welcome to the forum @fss.saber2017

There is a standdown period of 168 hours between exam attempts.

After you complete one exam, wait at least one week (168 hours) before sitting another exam.

Happy coding

Hello,

Thank you very much for your valuable guidance and your prompt response.

If I understood correctly, according to your explanation, after my Python exam results are released and 7 days (168 hours) have passed, I will be able to take the JavaScript Certification Exam or the Responsive Web Design Certification Exam.

Is my understanding correct?

Also, could you please let me know whether, after the 7-day waiting period, I can use this link:

to access the JavaScript Certification Exam and the Responsive Web Design Certification Exam, or does each certification exam have its own separate link? If there are separate links, I would greatly appreciate it if you could share them with me.

Thank you once again for your time, guidance, and support.

Kind regards,

Sanay Hajirezaei

the screenshot is missing, please attach it, or link the page you are talking about

the exam can be accessed only through the Exam Environment App

You can see the result of your exam (or if it’s still pending) by going to the exam page inside the site, they are at the end of the respective certifications

you can claim the certification in the settings once you have passed the exam

I apologize for not attaching the screenshot in my previous message.

When I log in through the following link:

and go to the Certifications section, I click on either the JavaScript Certification Exam or the Responsive Web Design Certification Exam. However, in both cases, the page shown in the attached screenshot is displayed.

Could you please let me know whether this is the expected behavior, or if there is any additional step I need to complete in order to access these certification exams?

Thank you very much for your time and support.

Kind regards,

Sanay Haji Rezaei

it says you can do the exam, in the blue note near the top of the page

so open the exam app, and you can take the exam, like you already did for Python

Continuing the discussion from Request for guidance regarding my Python Certification Exam results and Project Certifications:

Thank You

I have completed all 50 Question 50 of 50 questions in the Web Design exam and submitted it. However, when I click on “Submit Exam,” I see the following message:

“Exam End
Thank you for taking the exam.

Your exam attempt has been added to the moderation queue. Once moderated, you will be able to view your results on your profile.

You will still be able to make changes to this exam, whilst you have time left.”

Then, when I click “Close Exam,” it takes me back to the previous message:

“You have an in-progress attempt for this exam! Continue Exam”

Could you please check this issue or clarify the status of my exam? I have fully completed the exam.

Thank you.

site page will update after the 2 hours have passed, and will show that the attempt is pending

I have also recently completed the JavaScript exam, so in both cases, the status appears as follows in the Attempts section:

Date Taken | Score [%] | Status
7/6/2026, 4:45:32 PM | In Progress | In Progress

Thank you for your guidance.

I would like to sincerely thank the freeCodeCamp educational and support team. With the help of this organization’s valuable guidance and learning resources, I was able to participate in the JavaScript and Web Design exams.

At the moment, the status of both exams in the Attempts section is shown as Pending, and the review process is still in progress. I truly appreciate the support from this team, which has made my learning journey and progress much smoother.

Hello,

I hope you are doing well.

I took the Python Certification Exam some time ago. On my results page, instead of seeing a numerical score or percentage, I only see the status “Retake Required.”

Could you please confirm whether this means that I did not achieve the minimum passing score for the exam? Also, is it normal that the numerical score or percentage is not displayed?

Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response.

During the manual moderation process, which is performed by real humans, the exam moderation team noticed that the exam software had identified some inconsistent behaviours. Based on this, we kindly ask that you submit another attempt at the exam.

We understand this can be frustrating, but this allows us to maintain our academic integrity. These rigorous systems ensure that the certifications we offer have the most credibility - which benefits you in the long run!

Please feel free to reach out to @Naomi (Naomi) if you have any questions about this decision. We apologise for the inconvenience, and appreciate your cooperation.

I would also like to mention that I had previously taken the Web Design and JavaScript certification exams. Both of these exams are currently marked as Pending, and I am not able to retake either of them at the moment.

However, on my Python certification exam page, it shows that I will be eligible to retake the exam on July 12.

I completely understand and respect your decision, and I will be honored to take this valuable exam again. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of you and your team to maintain the integrity and credibility of the certification process.

Thank you once again for your time and support.
