Describe your issue in detail here.

  **Your code so far**

// Setup
var sum = 0;

function addThree() {
sum = sum + 3;
return sum;
}

// Only change code below this line
function addFive(){
sum+=5;
return sum;
}
var v=addFive();

// Only change code above this line

addThree();
addFive();

Challenge: Understanding Undefined Value returned from a Function

Link to the challenge:

The easy way to test this challenge is to check what the final value of sum is. It starts at 0, then below the line

// Only change code above this line

These two functions are called:

addThree();
addFive();

So 0 + 3 + 5 is 8. So if you’ve done the challenge correctly, sum must be 8. Easy enough.

So what happens here: what’s the final value of sum when your code gets checked?

var v=addFive();
