How can I source an image from google without infringing copyright laws?
You can look at the ‘tools’ dropdown menu in Images search, and there is a ‘usage rights’ section.

Go to the website where the image is and look at the website’s “terms” or “terms of use” and see if it allows use of their content, most websites do not allow use of their content.
There are however many sites that provide free images.
