Welcome to freeCodeCamp's forum

Hi guys!

My name is Su. I believe that learning how to code is just as important as learning how to read and write. I’ve been teaching myself how to code for the pass couple of months, and I still have a lot to learn. Please, check out my website www.suwilliams.gq, and let me know if you have suggestions about how I can make it more dynamic.

Hello, my name is Roman. I’m from Russia. I’ve been programming for four years on C ++. I want to learn web programming and I am very glad that your site exists.

Hi campers,
My name is aditya garg and i am learning to code to be more self sufficient an more creative as a developer.

Hello! I am a single mom new to the IT world. I’ve been focused mainly on reporting services for the last couple years, but am looking to learn more to open doors and keep my mind from being bored. So far, most of my learning has been from coworkers when they have time, and a few web sites here and there. This site seems to require a lot of accounts in a lot of different places, so I hope I can keep up! Thanks!

Hello world!
My name is Ian, I am a veteran and have just gotten out of the military and am looking for new career options. I am a electronics technician by trade and have ZERO coding experience. I am super excited to start learning more, this web program is an amazing introduction into the world of programming and it has really helped me to get a decent grasp of the basics of what coding is all about.

Best Regards,
Ian

Hi, everyone,

  • I’m Rick from Brazil
  • I’m learning to code to become a developer and because I fell in love with computer science on my first semester of college
  • I’ve been mostly learning on my own using a lot of online resources
Nice to meet you all.

Warm regards,
Rick

Hola! I’m Monica, go by Kitsu online though. I decided to learn coding because it’s a good skill with several applications. I have 0 background in tech-y things, so I poked around and saw that this was a good place to start learning. Ideally, these skills will help me when I am a teacher, either by being able to create my own resources/websites for students, giving me more marketability as an educator, or giving me a useful skill in case education doesn’t pan out for some reason.

Hey all my name is Steven and I am from the St. Louis area. I have been learning coding for about a month and a half now. I am doing this in order to blaze a new career path for myself, I love the idea of constructing something on the back-end that becomes beautiful on the front-end. I have done a combination of treehouse and FCC as well as reading a couple of books on HTML/CSS and JS/JQ.

I am Monday Ayewa, I have a background in eletrical engineering. but I have developed a psssion for software. so I would like to be professional at it. That is why I learning it over the rightway. I plan to use site like hacker rank and codility to help practice more on algorithms.

Hey guys, name’s Mike! I’ve always wanted to be a web designer, so I figured why not go ahead and start with learning HTML5 and CSS? The little things I do know already have been self taught, and very poorly taught. Here’s hoping I’m able to learn a good bit more and get myself where I want to be!

Hello, My name is Dhana Arun and I am learning to code because I love learning new ideas and concepts. I have been learning to code by teaching myself through books and tutorial websites.

Congratulations on giving your notice to pursue the development of a new skill set that you can apply to mission oriented organizations. I respect your self-awareness and courage. Sounds like you are already off to a great start by attending local meet ups, classes and getting started here on FCC.

Hello!!

I’m Dan or mbandgeek08 and I’m from Phoenix, AZ. I have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and currently work in the hospice field and I started with HTML/CSS when I was young and learned bits and pieces of other languages on an “as needed basis”. I’m looking to learn something new and possibly make a career change. I’ve always been a quick learner, but things might change as I get further into the world of coding!! haha

Have a great Thursday/Friday everyone!!

Hello!!

I’m Dan or mbandgeek08 and I’m from Phoenix, AZ. I have a Bachelors Degree in Music Education and currently work in the hospice field and I started with HTML/CSS (HTML for Dummies from the Library! I’m old…) when I was young and learned bits and pieces of other languages on an “as needed basis”. I’ve learned most of my skills through online tutorials, courses and resources similar to this (CodeAcademy etc.)

I’m looking to learn something new and possibly make a career change. I’ve always been a quick learner, but things might change as I get further into the world of coding!! haha

Have a great Thursday/Friday everyone!!

Hey everyone!

My name is Cody and I have 3 years of experience with Unity and C#. I have released 3 mobile games and one PC game.

Since I graduated college in December I have not found a job in the game industry, so I decided to come here to learn some web dev! I love coding so much I figure hey I’ll give that a shot and see if I can get a career doing this and do game dev on the side! lol we will see what happens!

Hey Y’all, my name is Aaron

Hi everyone!

My name’s Catherine and I’m a polisci/econ student in Berkeley, CA. I’ve ben dabbling in programming for around 2 years now but have only just started really getting into it. Before this I looked into Khan Academy and Code Academy for intro lessons, and I hope to use these skills at some point later in life.

Have a great week!
