Hello, my name is Andy and I had started programming since I was 13 years old. I’m currently 28 years old and still programing as a hobby. I’m currently working towards turning the hobby into a career.
I’m learning to code to hopefully pursue a career into the tech industry. I’m currently a Union Journeyman Carpenter building hospitals, houses, industrial buildings, etc…
I started out learning Java and Python in the earlier days for Minecraft and creating AI bots for minecraft using python. I used a couple books and a variety of different resources to learn them. I’m now interested in learning web development and backend technologies. (MongoDB, SQL, React, Node.js, & Ruby).
Hope everyone has a great day.

Hi everyone, I’m Marcus from Nairobi, Kenya. I’m new to the programming space and so far I’m still in the front end part of the curriculum. I did start this in 2020 but life and school kinda became messed up and I had to step away. Now that I’ve graduated, I want to finish what I started. Just looking to connect with other coders and gain experience and knowledge. Nice to meet you all.
Welcome, Irfan. I had a childhood friend named Irfan.
We are excited to have you here in the community. As you gradually expand your Python and data science skills, I encourage you to consider writing some tutorials as well
Hello! My name is Eesa, and I’m 14 years old. I started coding on freeCodeCamp when I was 12, to learn HTML and CSS. I really wanted to learn how to make websites because I thought it would be a cool skill to have, and I eventually ended up doing the Javascript course as well.
Two years later, I mostly learn languages and frameworks from tutorials, reading the documentation, and making tons of projects for practice!
As of now I’m building a social media site as a fun project, but in the long-term I want to found a startup at one point. Coding is really fun for me though, and I want to continue learning more in the future.
Hello,
My name is Amit and I’m a visually impaired programmer. I’ve been trying to learn programming for quite a while now and looking forward to a bright career in software industry.
Learning web development on free code camp and from other resources has been fun and challenging especially CSS. So far I’ve learnt the basics of python and the common programming concepts like variables, control flow statements, functions and object oriented programming in java script and working hard to continue learning as much as I can.
Hey everyone. Names Joey. I just started learning to code a couple of months ago after accidentally falling into it. I started becoming more and more interested as I got deeper and deeper into Pi builds.
Now, after wasting 15 years at a job I didn’t like I found what I want to do when I grow up. I look forward to learning as much as I can here and making some new friends in the process.
I’ve recently taken a leave from the job that I have been at and in that time I am have been focusing full time on FreeCodeCamp. It is the first time in recent memory that I have been this excited about something. Here’s to many more good days to come and new opportunities on the horizon.
Hey I am Benjamin Hunter Miller I love to code and grow. I am a ethical hacker and Linux enthusiast. I am from Texas I look forward to growing my Software Engineering skills.
Hi! I’m Amira.
I’m learning to get freelance jobs as a web developer.
I’ve been on and off Tutorials for a long time, but this time I’m committed to study every day.
Hello I’m Angel, and I’ve started to learn programming, I’m a colombian and I could have been making mistakes while I write it. I study Energy engineering I’m learning new thing that I might use in my university career. I would like to learn coding, how do I start? I don’t know which level I could start, there are many topics to choose, should I start with the first one or taking any specific topic?
Hello Angel.
Welcome to FreeCodeCamp. The choice of what to take will be determined by your interests or goals. What are you interested in? And from there we can advise on what to take from the curriculum.
Hello Coders and other tech-savy folks!
My name is Rainsong. If ya can’t guess by the first line of my greeting, I am not tech-savy, but I’m tired of being broke! So I figure any knowledge is power and “free” is what I can afford. I got my AAS from a Virginia Community College in 2016. Took me almost a decade because I was raising two High-functioning Autistic/ADHD kids and working two part time jobs but I did it. Graduated with a 3.8 GPA too!
Nowadays, my boys are grown, but still living here. I work full time as a bus assistant (I load wheelchairs while my driver runs the lift and watch students while the driver drives. Most teachers won’t do my job! But I love it for the most part.) I am also a former caregiver for my Mom, but she now lives with my brother and sister-in-law.
So now I have some free time to work on my skills again. But I need something that lets me learn online since I have a weird schedule (work 5:45am to about 9am , have a break then go back and pick students up 1pm to 4pm.) And get to bed about 8pm! So I have some time to dedicate to learning! My goal is to work here or Codecademy for 30-60 minutes 5 days a week. (I also wanna exercise, so gotta make time for that too. I greatly prefer “functional exercise” like gardening or vaccuming!) I also like to spend my free time reading romantic speculative fiction, word-dickering (can’t really call it word-smithing) aka writing and lately, decorating home-baked cookies with all natural frosting! (Trying to cut out ultra-processed foods too.) I like sewing and some handcrafts too.
Anyhoo, I wanna learn how to code out of a morbid curiosity about how web sites even work and to learn for absolutely certain that computers and AI are not going to enslave the human race. This all from a lady that doesn’t play video or computer games. (One of my favorite sayings is that If I am going to sit still for long enough to play a game, I can write! Now I’m gonna start saying I can code or write!) Heck, it took me a few minutes to figure out how to write this response!
Well, I’m off to do mundane/real-life stuff. Happy learning and coding all!
Rainsong
Yay! I’m not the only newbie!
Welcome and all the best on your learning and life journey.
Thank you very much!
Hi there. Welcome to the FCC forum community. Happy Coding.
Hello all. My name is Matt. I’m here to make a career change to a field that I’ve had interest in for a long time, but never felt like I had the chance to really pursue. I’ve dabbled in tutorial hell on and off, but I’m hoping FCC and its curriculum will help guide me past that stage, and onto greater things.
As the title says, new to the Code camp. Looking for networking and friends to add to my daily routine. Working as a contractor overseas and have alot of downtime so im trying to spend it wisely.
