I am a first year Electrical Engineering student at Iowa State Universtiy. Up until recently my plan was to find a job in power systems focusing on renewable energy. However, recently I have found myself very interested in travel. I would like a job where I could work remotely from my laptop, and travel the world. I havenāt decided if I will change my major to computer or software engineering quite yet. For now I will be spending my free time progressing through FCCās courses to see if I like it. Nice to meet you all!
Hello
Iām Aaron. Iām new to freeCodeCamp - Iāve been doing C++ and java coding for awhile but Iām mostly new
to the front end side of the house. Iām looking forward to the non-profit coding aspects of the camp.
Hi. This is Daniel. Iām new to the camp and the forum. I was interested in coding for years but finally decided to commit to learn it. Iām confident it will open up multiple career options for a more satisfying and secure future. Besides Free Code Camp Iāve also been learning skills such as Java and SQL with Codecademy, Revature, and on YouTube, to name a few.
Hi
Everybody
My name is Asim Al-Bakali
I software engineering and have mastered in that
but I am a beginner in programming So I try to complete my circle with computer world
thank you all for supporting me in this field
Hi everyone. Iām Rachel. I came across freeCodeCamp from someone on Twitter (sorry, I donāt remember who it was) that had said they were tired of code.org and they wanted to learn some real code.
I teach a STEM class to elementary students, and a big part of what weāve done so far is computer science. Iāve used Code.org, Kodable, Code Combat, and Codecademy to teach coding to youngsters.
Iām intrigued by it, and I wanted to learn more, so voila!
Iāve gone through the 20-hour basic courses on code.org, and have gone through the HTML/CSS free material on Codecademy. Using freeCodeCamp has been so much better, though!
Iām just about to start the jQuery section in the map (which is when I imagine most people post here).
Iām learning to code because I opened this can of worms a few months ago and simply cannot put the lid back on. Iāve built a few smaller sites with Wordpress, never actually taking the time to learn how to code them just using their builders. Once I started taking Udemy classes I was completely hooked. I started free code camp to fill up a portfolio and start freelancing. The end goal of all of this is to have a career, on my own terms, in a field that I find so fascinating!
Iām a 25 year old drop-out/freelancer based in Toronto, Canada. I used to be in school for Film Studies and Classical History, on the way to become a teacher, until the day I realized that that wasnāt my calling. Iāve been coding since I was 10, self-taught, but havenāt gone past HTML and CSS since then on AsianAvenue days.
Iād like to officially learn how to code and understand what Iām actually doing, instead of Googling phrases and pasting equations mindlessly. Maybe even be more successful in the freelancing realm, eventually make my own agency? Leaving it up to the gods.
Iād love to be able to travel with my work though. That would be really great.
Hi all
Iām new in coding and i started here couple of weeks ago. Iām a digital nomad original from Switzerland but stay in the moment in the Philippines. My goals are start as frontend developer, HTML, CSS, JavaScript later on PHP and Python.
My mother tongue is german. I would like to get in contact with some other beginners or profis to learn from each other or even met us for tech or private talk.
So feel free to contact me.
Hope for all a good study and enjoy coding.
Kind Regard
I am Mahamudul from Ireland. I finished my masters. But still did not get any job.
This give me so much pain. Cause I have lack of knowledge about programming.
Now I found this website so helpful and guided. I love this work.
Hopefully this camp can bring me that dream which I am dreaming.
I dont think any of this camp is exist in the world.
I cant say any words how much I grateful to learning and sharpen me through this camp.
I only can say Thank you.
Keep it up. and help people like us who are got frightened in their first stage of programming classes.
May Allah give you strength and power to run this camp.
I am Ashton, Iām learning web programming because itās probably the easiest way to get a remote programming job and pays well. Iāve been having an easy time learning, considering Iāve been working with (off and on) web programming already.
Iām really excited to see if I can stick to this and clear it. Iām looking forward to working with nonprofits and hopefully getting my hands on a tasty job.
My name is David. I have been looking to break into a coding career for a few years now. A friend of mine who works in the industry recommended FreeCodeCamp to me. So far, it has been a great experience. Other coding tutorials I have done in the past have always been set up in a way that only teaches how to do things correctly. FreeCodeCamp seems to also teach why the code works. Its the difference between āknowledgeā and āunderstandingā. I really appreciate it.
Hi, my name is Michael. Many years ago I learned and used HTML, JS, and Java. But that was a long time ago. And, unfortunately, I got out of that - which I regret. So, now, Iām trying to relearn, refresh, and renew my skills in the hope to change my career.
Hi, I am a newbie to the FCC community. I have been trying to learn how to code over the past 4 months or so. I have be using online programs such as this to learn how to code. I will start a 6 week in class bootcamp next week which I am very excited about. I will take what I learn from FCC and the bootcamp to launch my career as a Frontend Developer.
Hello! Iām Alejandra from Costa Rica, Business Administration student at the moment.
Iāve always wanted to learn to code but never dared until now. I want to make a super awesome and cool-looking website for myself and other people.
I started a few months ago through CodeAcademy and Coursera, but now that Iāve found freeCodeCamp I absolutely love it.
Iām more motivated than ever, so hopefully I can keep going at it with the same energy and building a habit
Hi, my name is Philip, Iām a software engineer from Canada, and I know youāre asking - why am I here if Iām already a working software professional?
Iāve had lots of varied programming assignments over the past 15 years, from coding in C++, to Perl, to Python, to XML and XSLT (go look up that one), to hacking around with Ruby on Rails. But the first time I really āgotā programming was writing JavaScript back in the early 00ās, and Iāve always wanted to get back to web programming.
I havenāt done any meaningful web programming for more than 10 years, and a LOT has changed since then, especially with the rise of JavaScript everywhere, the MEAN stack, and so on. I felt out of touch, and wanted to find some kind of tutorial or MOOC for learning all this crazy new stuff. I tried a few different places, but they were buggy, outdated, incomplete, etc. Then I got started with FreeCodeCamp and I havenāt stopped in two days!
FCC blends instruction, hands-on coding and rapid feedback in a well structured, easy to follow and at times for me mind-blowing study plan.
I hope to make some new friends, and share what Iāve learned about the software world with others!
Hi Campers,
I am Gani, a PhD student at UAB. I have a working experience with a few Statistical software (SAS, R, Stata, ArcGIS). I recently started learning to code as I am planning to become a data scientist.
Thank you
hi,
My name is Arun. I am working as a PHP developer. I am interested in programming and problem solving. But somewhere I find that I need to hone my skills more, so as to code more confidently and efficiently, This is why I joined this forum. I have been learning to code from various tutorials available on the internet. My aim to get better at coding has led me here.
I am learning to code because I feel it is necessary to have some background in coding.
I Would also like to be able to incorporate coding into my major and use it in the real world.
I am learning to code through FreeCodeAcademy and also looking into some online courses to learn python or other courses. I donāt know how much HTML will help me in the real world. I have been reading that java is the #1 computer language in demand.
