Where do i get experience as a an entry level web developer

I am not yet a complete web developer, but we never know when your ready ?. My issue with recruitment is it isn’t only about the skill its also about experience. So my question would where can i get experience as i have none and what level of my experience do i need to land an entry level or junior developer job ?
Suggestions would be helpful please

you can get experience by building projects, and contributing to open source projects

there is also some programs, free or payed, where you can get experience by building stuff in teams (an example is Chingu)
