Why no brackets in CSS like HTML?

I’ve just started the cafe menu lessons and I’ve noticed elemts such as h1 and p specifically don’t go inside brackets < > like they did in the first HTML lessons (Cat Photo App).

Why is this? Is this only the case when they’re contained within a style element?

Yup, CSS has different syntax than HTML

Great, thanks.

Is this only the case when contained within a style element, or at all times?

That applies to all CSS. You should have a step soon for putting CSS in a separate file

Oh, I think I get it now!

So the HTML is responsible for the content of the page and the CSS is responsible for the style/design. So we continue to use <> in HTML, but not in CSS.

Exactly correct, that’s how I’d describe it
