Your code should have a link element

Hello Everyone,
So I have started with the beta version of responsive design in HTML and CSS and have encountered the following issue when linking the CSS file to the HTML file, even if the code seems to be correct and the preview seems to be working.

<link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css" type="text/css">
I gave it correctly but it keeps on writing that my head should have a link element. I have added this in the head element like I usually do, what am I missing here?

Thank you for helping make FCC better. Bugs can be reported as GitHub Issues. Whenever reporting a bug, please check first that there isn’t already an issue for it and provide as much detail as possible.

When asking for help in the forum you should always let us know what lesson you are working on so we don’t have to guess.
If it’s the lesson I think it is there is an issue that has been opened. You can (and should) check.
In this one it the code unnecessarily wants to see a slash before the >
That is
<link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css" type="text/css" />

Thanks for answering Roma, I figured when I was trying to work it out.
I guess this is not a bug, but since the slash is not supposed to be compulsory, I hope it would work without the last slash later as well :slight_smile:
