I am a beginner and i have some basic knowledge about backend and i am soooo new to these forums and i don’t know how these systems work
But i really want to be a excellent backend engineer and also want to take part in many hackathons and make friends along the way who are better than me and learn from them I am currently in 3rd year or my college and i don’t have much expectations from my college so i would be very grateful if someone can guide or atleast throw some random advice at me 
Since you’re in your 3rd year and new to backend, pick one small API project and finish it end to end before chasing hackathons. That gives you something concrete to discuss and makes each event more useful.
hi , thank you so much for replying , currently i am aiming to complete the scalbility part → backend part = frontend part → deployment + devops part and aiming to be a exceptional backend engineer with some minimal knowledge of frontend ,
currently i am the backend part → and i am learning it in the production grade format like - router → middleware → controller → service → model - db and also passing the data and user through validation → authentication → authorization ,
after completing the production grade backend and making some small projects in it i am planning to learn some basic react and add the backend to it and make one or two projects with separate frontend and backend then learning next js and making few projects with it ,
then deployment and devops and then scalability and then system design
I am really desperate to learn and complete these basic things as soon as possible inorder to become an engineer who exactly knows what is happening and where and knowing the entire system flow ,
i have figured these things out by my own using youtube and ai and i have no one to verify these things and ask real guidence from so would i would love to know about you even more and i really appreciate any of yiur guidance
That router-to-model flow is a lot to juggle at once; finish one small API with it before adding React or scalability work.
thank you so much for you feedback , i just want to let you know that i have been practising those small APIs along with it i keep studying and practising the real world production grade framework that is actually used in companies .
i really want some people with whom i can share what i am learning and people with experience who can guide me through these things with their experience , because there are just so many things i need to complete at such little time because i have certain responsibilities to take and some family financial conditions ,
but learning was never the hard part , its the part where you have to research everything by your own hands and then getting new things to add to your own roadmap and to do list and then at some random tuesday night you have to change every planning you had and had to make everything from scratch , thats the most frustrating and overwhelming part of this whole journey as far as i have seen ,
otherwise i actually find myself enjoying learning tech , learning about the hardwares , learning how things work at level 0 , and how to everything started ,
but having some people along with your journey who are trying to achieve or already achieved what i am aiming so hard for makes it a bit more relaxing , stressfree and enjoyble ,
and again thank you soooo much for being that very first person for me in this journey as i was so afraid of coming to these forums and reddit pages because i thought no one cares about the newbies and everyone is cluttered around the people who have already made it
