The freecodecamp.org login screen loads and the input for the email address flashes a cursor for a second which then disappears, so can’t type in the address. I’ve restarted the browser several times.
Thanks for the responses. I believe it’s a Windows 7 problem. I tried it on another w7 machine and it didn’t work. I tried Opera on my machine and it doesn’t work. I tried it on a w10 laptop and it works.
I found today that the log in via other sites buttons work–they didn’t yesterday, but the log in with email still doesn’t. I’d have to create another account to use those methods, and thereby lose all of my progress and the ability to look back at what I’ve done.
Thanks for the response. I don’t have a github or apple account either. If I create one of those or a google account, how would I be able to access my progress from my current account? I am able to log into the forums just fine. But the email submit button on the freecodecamp.org site doesn’t work.
Update: It turns out the issue is that the placeholder text in the input form doesn’t clear when I attempt to type in the email field. However, the input does go in there—I just can’t see it. Same for the security code. Thanks ILM and Teller for trying to help.
I thought I’d found a work around, but it didn’t work today and now I’m “blocked after multiple consecutive login attempts”. I’ve sent a request for unblocking to the support email. I do appreciate all of the work the volunteers of this project do. I do have a question. Do accounts get unblocked, and if so how long does it take?
