I checked again, and sometimes I see the code and sometimes I do not. I think because I answer a lot of questions on the forum, when I paste the code in, I click Check and it says ‘success’ but then I don’t bother clicking Submit.
(I have all the steps checked because I went thru them before…)
But when I do click Submit again, the code disappears.
Anyway, I believe the OP’s question has been answered. There doesn’t seem to be a way to retrieve the code once you click Submit other than the obvious method of just looking at the code in the following step. (which to me, seems like a reasonable workaround)
If you are referring to the HTML and CSS challenges, then yes, I recall that subsequent steps include code that would have passed the previous challenge. In the case of Javascript challenges and beyond, I think that each challenge is self-contained, so subsequent challenges may not reveal useful information.
Luckily, there is an option to download your successful code before submitting it; it is just a pity that users may not realise that their code will vanish after submission.
