The submit challenge button seems not to work, it has an error message that reads “Remember to submit your own work.”

what link are you trying to submit?
Click here : https://codepen.io/ , then press start coding and copy-paste your code there. Test it and then try to submit with the new link you got.
The link you are trying to share is for the account. You have to open your Pens and then copy/paste the URL. For example : https://codepen.io/koyeldey/details/qBqrLVm .
can you paste here the link you are submitting?
you need to be logged in to your codepen account, use the fork button in the bottom right corner, and then you have saved your work and have a link to submit
