Hello. Has anyone or does anyone work as a data analyst? Is there a lot of programming going on?
First and foremost, a data analyst is a statistician. Depending upon the specific job, you will have more or less programming, but using some amount programming is pretty standard. You realistically can’t comb through all the data to generate analysis by hand.
So one would have to learn Python and know some math.
Not always Python, but that is a common option. Math is a must.
Would knowing algebra suffice?
You’ll need statistics.
I took a course in statistics way back in the day. I’m gonna check out some online courses.
