Hi there!
I finally finished my first project outside of a class and I am relieved.
I started this project back in october and have been working on it a little bit each day.
I posted the project in the #project-feedback section.
It took a lot of work and I definitely learned a lot in the process.
My advice to all beginners out there is if you have an idea just start building it.
Even if you are not ready, just start.
I started with a simple html page.
I had not clue what the styling was going to look like.
I actually didn’t design the homepage until the very end.
Just start with what you know and research from there. And don’t be afraid to experiment with different things.
The great thing about github is that if you completely screw up your page you can just go back to the previous commit. Or you can just create a branch if you are experimenting with a new feature.
I did that a few times and was grateful for that option in github
There were times I didn’t think it would ever be finished.
Or I would spend days just researching and not have anything working.
But that is ok.
It is part of the process.
But it is worth it because you get to look at your first real website and smile.
Happy coding!
