I think it would be really nice if there was a way to manually enter time spent on external projects on Codepen so that you can maintain your “streak”. It’s kinda disappointing when you’ve been working for several days on projects and as far as FCC is concerned, you haven’t been working on anything and the calendar reflects that.

Even if it required you to type in a summary of what you worked on to meet some requirement of “proof”. At least have something so that the daily streak counter can continue and it actually be an effective motivator.

I agree.

I wonder how hard it would be to integrate github data into that display (they do look the same). Then, pushing to a repo would add to your streak.

Might need something more (only projects tagged ‘x’?), if it’s possible at all.

That doesn’t take care of codepen, but codepen does allow exporting to gist, so it might still work.
