Help and Study Tips

I am seeking help on how should I use the challenges as study tools to progress in FCC. I see that some of the challenges can easily cause me to solely plug in code and i don’t want to get caught just inserting code based off the examples given and not really learning anything. I want to know how to apply the concepts that are introduced so i don’t have to continuously go back and forth to older topics down the line.
