HELP! Not able to understand how to use APIs

Hello Campers,

I have reached intermediate projects. Here i need to use the various APIs to progress forward. I have gone through various articles available over internet. But I am just not ‘getting’ it. I am stuck at basic things like:

  1. How to call an api? Is there any standard way of calling any API
  2. how to then parse the data?
  3. What is AJAX and when do I need it?

I partially understand it when I read someone else’s code, but its still not coming naturally to me. HELP.
