Ive been trying to get certified as a full stack developer been working on it for years now (on and off and also all the classes werent updated) and ive completed the basics of html, css 3 times already because you guys keep adding more and more….can you guys allow older users who started before it was updated to be certified first instead of them having to complete more everytime it gets added? how, and when will we be able to fully complete the full-stack?? when we’re 50??!? PLEASE come up with a solution for this never-ending infinite courses….all in all i love all your works but please i feel this needs a fix…
You only need to complete the certification projects and the exam.
Some of the material is carried forward into the new courses and should already be complete if you completed them.
You don’t need to redo material that you already know unless you want a refresher. You can skip ahead and just complete the certification projects using the knowledge you’ve gained over the years.
You definitely don’t need to go back and 100% complete every workshop or theory that gets added.
Hi @qwertyuiop12341234 !
Welcome to the forum!
The certifications will always be updated since this is an ongoing project. Projects will be updated based on feedback and new ones added based on feedback too.
To claim a legacy certification, the only requirements are to complete and pass the certification projects.
To claim the new certifications, you need to complete and pass the certification projects and exams. So if you already know the material, you can skip the additional labs and practice.
But just note that from an industry perspective, most employers and recruiters won’t look at certifications. unless you get like an AWS cert or something similar.
The certifications are more for your personal achievement. The main goal are the lessons and learning and skills. That is what employers are looking for.
Hope that helps!
