I need help capturing and handling Bluetooth signals from my phone’s receiver, then using the captured button presses to trigger a function within my app..
I think that the information is not adequate, so please provide more information , so that we can help you![]()
Dont know about you, But I ended up having to build a background service plugin to handle the captures completely independent of my app. Justa small lightweight background/foreground service that instantiates a media session and captures the button presses from an XML socket, thrn hands them over to my main.py for processing.
The background service sits just outside the system level and is able to intercept and capture the bt button presses.
Still working on getting them to actually do what I want them to do, but they are being intercepted and routed to the Python script. Just can’t figure out what to do with them when it receives them.
