Hey folks, new to this site(obviously).
Was wondering if I might pick some brains for a programming wall I keep hitting with this app I am trying to write.
I need help capturing and transporting global bluetooth signals from my phone receiver and using those captured presses to toggle a function within my app.
I have the mediasession listeners in place, but Python3 keeps fighting me about using them to actuate the function I need it to.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which mobile OS are you targeting, and how does the Python code connect to the native media-session callback—through Kivy/pyjnius, BeeWare, or another bridge?
Start by having the callback do nothing except log its name, key code or action, thread, and timestamp. If those events appear, queue a small toggle() call on the app’s UI thread. If they don’t, check the OS registration and permissions instead of the Python state. This logging test should quickly show which side of the boundary is failing.
