How Can I Download My Completed Project Code to Upload to GitHub?

Hi everyone,

I’m currently taking the Full Stack Developer course here on freeCodeCamp and I’ve completed some of the projects using the in-browser editor.

Now I’d like to push these projects to my GitHub profile to start building my portfolio. However, I realized I don’t have the project files on my local machine, and I’m not sure how to download or export them properly.

Can anyone guide me on:

  • How to access or download the full code of the projects I completed on freeCodeCamp?

I’d really appreciate any advice or tips! Thanks in advance :folded_hands:

you need to get the code once you finish the lab, if you return to it later the code will not be saved

Since the main purpose of a portfolio page is to showcase your web developer skills, maybe not include practice projects - which tens of thousands of other developers will already have on their portfolio pages.

Only include projects which you created yourself that showcase your best work. This way you can stand out. You’ll need to show just three or four high quality projects with each focusing on a different strength.

Happy coding
