How do i make something defined?

Tell us what’s happening:

Your code so far

// Only change code below this line
var a = 5;
var b = 10;
var c = "i am a string!"

// Only change code above this line

a = a + 1;
b = b + 5;
c = c + " String!";

Challenge: Understanding Uninitialized Variables

Link to the challenge:

Hi @marcusn ! Welcome to FCC forum. There is a slight problem with variable “c”. Read the instruction carefully and define the variable as per requirement.

i dont know how to do that though

You initialize and declare fine. But look at this value

Initialize the three variables a , b , and c with 5 , 10 , and "I am a" respectively so that they will not be undefined .

And your value when you first set up c. Are they the same?

the problem is asking to:

Initialize the three variables a , b , and c with 5 , 10 , and "I am a" respectively so that they will not be undefined .

when you initialize a variable, its just asking you to set it = to something.

c should = “I am a”

var c = “I am a”

hope this helps
