Hi everyone,
I’m currently doing a retraining program in Germany (Software Developer) where I’m learning HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, and some frameworks in practice blocks. In addition to that, I’m using freeCodeCamp to deepen and reinforce my knowledge.
I’ve noticed that the new Full Stack Web Development Path is not fully released yet (some sections are still in beta or missing). I’m unsure about the best way to proceed and would love your advice:
- Should I just follow the new Full Stack Path as far as it goes and wait for the remaining sections to be released?
- Or should I then continue with the old curriculum to avoid gaps?
- Are the old certifications/tracks (e.g., Responsive Web Design, JavaScript Algorithms, APIs and Microservices, Data Visualization, etc.) still important to complete, even if I have already covered those topics in the new Path?
- Would you recommend working through the old tracks as additional practice to reinforce what I’m learning?
My main goal is to have a complete and structured learning path without unnecessarily repeating content, but also without missing anything important. I also want my portfolio and certifications to show a solid, well-rounded foundation.
How would you approach this situation? Has anyone else combined the new Path with the old curriculum, and what worked best for you?
Thanks in advance!
