Is coding meant for everyone?

I get the feeling not everyone can learn how to code just like how everyone can’t learn to play a sport .Either you got it or you don’t I’ve been going at it for about for bout 2 months almost everyday for hours and hours and just feels impossible.

Anyone can learn to program. Not everyone will enjoy it, which is totally normal.

Not literally everyone, saying that would be ignoring some basic truths. But most people can for sure.

That is a fallacy.

Yes, there are some rare instances of brilliance no one can explain (like Mozart or whatever). But most people have to work really hard to get as good as they are. If you believe you can just be born to be great at something and otherwise you are never going to be great you are doing yourself a huge disservice. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get really good at something.

HI @blkhertzz !

I think that most people can learn basic coding skills in a learning timeline that works for them.
most people can learn how to build basic scripts, or simple automations for their job. Or basic html and css web pages.

I think what you are feeling is completely normal and tens of thousands of individuals learning how to code have gone through the same thing.
Especially if they come from a non STEM background.

Learning to code requires a completely different mindset and set of skills that takes time to learn and get comfortable with.
There is a learning curve with programming and it will feel like an uphill battle sometimes. Especially in the beginning.

My advice is to take it day by day, little by little.
It is totally fine if you don’t understand a particular concept right away.
Sometimes it will take being repeatedly exposed to a concept 2,3,4 or more times before it finally sinks.

hope that helps
