Hello,
I’m new here, trying to learn JavaScript but, everything in the lesson is going above my head. I’m demoralized and lost. Can anyone please tell me what can I do now? What am I doing wrong?
Note: Last few weeks I have successfully learned HTML, CSS and Bootstrap from FCC. It was easy to learn. I don’t wanna give up.
Hey you could take a look at the youtube course from free code camp that goes along with the curriculum (linked below).
There are many other video courses that go over the basics and I find that sometimes hearing something from a different teacher in a different way is pretty helpful!
There are several other websites, books, videos, and online courses that teach JavaScript and you may find that some speak to you better than others. The bad news though is that it’s going to be hard. Learning to code, especially for the first time is an experience of struggling. JavaScript is fundamentally very different from HTML and CSS.
Thank you. I will start exploring. I loved your words “experience of struggling”. Now as an amateur , do i try on market places, so I can try to earn while learning?
I doubt that you’re ready for that yet. One thing that might be a good way to keep testing your skills against the freelance market is to look at jobs that are being posted there and try to accomplish them without bidding for the contract. Are you able to achieve the goal? Does it look professional? How many hours did it take? How much would you have to charge to pay yourself a decent wage?
In my opinion, there is much easier if you know about some basic concept of OOP(if you learn java, python before,…) or some basic concept every programming language has( loops, function, array,…). It’s not about language, it’s the way you think. Btw it’s just from my perspective, good luck!
Yes !! That’s a fantastic idea. I’m satisfied and motivated
