Try to download this version, once you probably will try java web development, this one already comes with a bunch of features.

I’ve heard a lot of NetBeans - and that’s what’s used in the HackerRank tutorials.

I’m a big fan of InteliJ IDEA

bluej is beginner friendly. I liked using it and then switched to intelliJ IDEA.

Jetbrains java ide is okay. Intelli J would be my first choice. I juse PHPStorm on the daily.
