I have a question regarding the JavaScript course. Has the course been updated recently? I don’t remember it being like that, maybe I’m going crazy. The course work is similar to Responsive Web Design where you complete 4 lessons then do a project. However, last time I checked the JavaScript course had many different lessons, then multiple big projects at the end.
Hi @3vd9 !
Yes the course was updated at the end of December 2023.
The course is all project based while the legacy course has a whole bunch of lessons like you mentioned
That’s really cool. I’ll def get back into it. I really disliked the old course so I moved onto cs50 where I then also struggled. Hopefully this course can help me understand actual coding and not just designing the website. Also thanks for responding.
Yes, indeed, the course received an update in late December 2023. Now, it’s entirely project-oriented, unlike the previous version, which had numerous individual lessons as you mentioned.
but i prefer the legacy as this one doesnt have hints to the answers
It does have hints. If you write incorrect code it will give you a hint.
What it doesn’t have is a solution page. But that isn’t as helpful as you might think it is. A lot of people end up copy-pasting code without understanding it.
But if you want the solution you can increment the number in the browser address bar to jump to the next step.
Starting with the beginner section in the old JS curriculum isn’t a bad idea if you are new to JS and coding.
