so im in a bit of a road bump, the div element in this step is quite weird, if i put the div in the intended location, it will show an error such as “your first div element should have an opening tag” but if i fix it by adding “<”, it will show up as "your new div elements should be in the div element with the class name container. i have absolutely no idea how to fix this issue please help

Hello! Welcome to the forum.
Good job on your code so far.
You 2 new added div elements closing tags needs to be after the opening tags.
So reset your code. Then in your .container div add one div element oepning and closing tag with the class set to marker. Then add another div element opening anf closing tag with the class set to marker.
If that doesnt work, paste your updated code here, so that we can assist.

like this?

all closing tags are added

still doesnt work :frowning:

You need each marker div opening and closing tags separately between the container div tags. You nested all marker div in each other.
