Here is the example for Building a Cat Photo App - Step 12 which provides excellent guidance and is an excellent example of how to turn text into a link while it remains within the p element.

The statement before the anchor was added was<p>I think freeCodeCamp is great.</p>
The statement after the anchor was added remains the same with only the anchor tags being placed touching freeCodeCamp on both sides to create the anchor.
Nothing else in the statement was changed. No spaces added or deleted, not other changes were necessary.
