Hi guys I’m looking at apple notebooks. I’m a PC user normally work on Ubuntu. I have to switch to windows to use photoshop or Ableton live,… I hate that!!! I love linux, but cant run PS and other programs. Do you think it is a good idea to get a i5 macbook pro 13 inches, 16gb 256 SSD? (2100 usd )or its performance will be bad in a couple months? My other option is a macbook pro i7 quad core, 16gb 255 SSD? (2400 usd)?

I have MacBook Pro. Specs aren’t as good as what you listed. Couple years old. Performance is excellent. Absolutely recommend it. I switched from windows…world of difference.
If you’re going to do a lot of photo editing etc go with bigger screen or get a second monitor- but to get a monitor that’s as good as the built in Retina display you have to shell out more!
