I have been trying to understand why the navigation bar from bootstrap looks different with codepen. I wanted to have a horizontal navigation bar on top of the page and I have coded on my dreamweaver and they look fine but when I copy it over to Codepen , the navigation bar becomes a square or list view navigation box.
Does anyone encounter this issue?

I would suggest you start using bootstrap v4. It is the way forward.
I am having JavaScript issues with Codepen. I am starting to hate Codepen.
I get much better results working with files locally. Plus it’s good practice not to rely on Codepen for all links support.
Respectfully, that may be the way forward for Bootstrap use specifically, but pure CSS Grid is the true way forward
