Not a directory status pops up in live server

I am trying to view my code in VScode using the live server but whenever I “open live server”, it says this "Error: ENOTDIR: not a directory, stat ‘/Users/Dorene/Desktop/The Odin Project/google-homepage/index.html/’ ". Any insight as to fix this?

Dorene, did you find a solution to this? I am having the exact same issue, and no other search result is relevant.
