Hello all, I am new to web development and I want to learn full stack, backend, devops etc etc. My goal is to make my own projects, I have a lot of project ideas and I never know what tech stack to use, where to start and how to have separate front end, backend, tests, pipeline to deploy etc etc. I see a lot of people talking about these at work and I want to learn it too this year. With all the modern tech coming in like gen AI, I want to leverage them but learn the basics of web development as well. How can I use free code camp to the fullest, in which order should I start my courses and learn to build end to end projects? Also, can someone tell me about some good books which can help me learn system design concepts related to everything involved in the monolithic and microservices architecture? I am a fresher and when my colleagues talk about web sockets and poling etc, I am confused coz I don’t even know certain terms, I know that we have to learn certain things as we go but I want to learn the basics at least so that I know which part of web development is related to the new term / topic that I come across.
hello and welcome to fcc forum
- go through fcc curriculum from beginning, you will have a very good foundation on web development and coding in general.

thank you, do you have any suggestions for learning system design from scratch. It would be helpful if you share anything that you know.
- IT industry is as vast as medical field, one can’t be jack of all trades
- I suggest search for jobs in your country / city of choice
- Make a decision and stick to it
- Goto YT and search for various IT career paths to learn merits / demerits in them
- If I were you, I will go for AI/ML or Humanoid Robots career to make sure I will be employable for next 2+ decades atleast
All the very best
