How can i realize that " When I click the
#submit element, the email is submitted to a static page (use this mock URL: https://www.freecodecamp.com/email-submit) that confirms the email address was entered and that it posted successfully."
That is not a real end point
What does this sentence mean?Does that mean I don’t have to pass values to this page？
Can i use the “localStorage.setItem” to submit the value to a static page.
What is the url of this challenge?
I am not sure why you think that would do anything related to submitting a value to a static page.
I don’t know if this is useful,i want to know a way to submit a value to a static page.
You just need to put the provided url in the right place in the form, everything is already programmed in there
But the email will not be actually stored in the provided page, as that is a dummy page that you can use for this exercise, it doesn’t actually store the infos submitted
To learn how to store the infos you need to delve in backend programming
<form action="url" method="post"> <input type="submit" value="Submit" /> </form>
Is it like this？thanks.
You actually need to put the page url here, but yeah, something like that
thank you for your answer，but，I just didn’t understand the meaning of that sentence，In fact, I know the backend programming.
Does this work? I mean with the link in the action element?
@Ruqayyah I looked at a similar question in the forum, so basically you have to add
as an attribute to the
<form> element. The email won’t actually get submitted to that page, it’s just a dummy thing to help you understand.
Hope this helped
@kudouz Oh okay, JazakilAllah for explaining
