Use Conditional Logic with If Statements (is there a bug?)

Hi! Hopefully, someone can tell me what is happening with my code for this challenge. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide :smiley:
Tell us what’s happening:
My code (that I have compared to the answer from the hint) does not run. I have checked and double-checked but I keep getting the messages that:
(true) should return “Yes, that was true”
(false) should return “No, that was false”
Your code so far
// Setupfunction trueOrFalse(wasThatTrue) {
// Only change code below this line.
if (wasThatTrue) { return “Yes, that was true.”;
}return “No, it was false.”;
// Only change code above this line.

``}

// Change this value to test
``trueOrFalse(true);

// Example
function ourTrueOrFalse(isItTrue) {
  if (isItTrue) {
    return "Yes, it's true";
  }
  return "No, it's false";
}

// Setup
function trueOrFalse(wasThatTrue) {
  // Only change code below this line.
  if (wasThatTrue) {
     return "Yes, that was true.";
  }
 return "No, it was false.";
  // Only change code above this line.

}

// Change this value to test
trueOrFalse(true);

The strings that you return should match exactly the expected strings. The tests expect for strings with no periods in them, for one.

@kevcomedia is correct, the expected result strings do not include period. Additionally the expected false string is “No, that was false”. Note that you have “No, it was false”. There is nothing wrong with cutting and pasting from the text of the challenge description to ensure that you are providing the exact text expected.
