Use the parseInt Function not making sense to me

A bit lost on what is wrong with the code written so far:

My code below to show you

function convertToInteger(str) {
  var a = parseInt("JamesBond");
  return parseInt ("str")
}

convertToInteger("77");
convertToInteger("56")

parseInt takes any string and tries to extract a number from it. This challenge is asking you to take the input to the function (str) and pass that to parseInt. It’s not asking you to write a set of parseInt expressions with specific strings like ("James Bond", "str") passed to them
