VSCode File Issue

Hey,

In VSCode when you have a single file inside of another file, it shows them side by side. I read about why this is done this way, but can’t remember why. I think it had to do with a certain language requiring this type of system.

I changed it before, but then ended up having to reinstall and don’t remember where it was in the settings. I’d like to change it back if it’s not going to be an issue. Anyone know why it’s done this way and how to change it? Thanks

What do you mean by this?

Sorry, I meant to say folder inside another folder.

Found it:

Explorer: Compact Folders

Controls whether the Explorer should render folders in a compact form. In such a form, single child folders will be compressed in a combined tree element. Useful for Java package structures, for example.
