Hello everyone. I’m Jóhann and I am a musician and certified mathematics teacher from Iceland.
I’m learning to code to expand my job prospects and to explore the plausibility of tech startup ideas I have for mathematics education. I am also interested in designing simple but elegant websites for my musical projects and possibly for others too.
I’m considering going back to university to study software engineering or computer science. I think FreeCodeCamp will be excellent preparation for those studies. I learned some HTML basics a long time ago but have recently been exploring various online resources for extending my knowledge of CSS, JavaScript and Java. I think FreeCodeCamp is my final destination of that exploration although other mediums will compensate for some topics that are still under construction here.
I’m very excited to start working on the bigger projects here at FreeCodeCamp and am looking forward to being a part of this motivating community!
My name is Eriq Nelson. I’m a software developer with a focus on operations. My background is in supply chain management, business process automation, design, and accounting. I like conversations about philosophy, engineering, design, psychology and technology.
Code is an essential skill for software development and deployment and having worked with technology for many years I’ve noticed that most of my business problems are just software issues. Thus I put my face to the grindstone and prepare for my third career.
Over the last six months I’ve been patching together tutorials on Python, Java, Ruby, Javascript, Go and PHP to get me up to speed. I’ve started an engineering and design blog, made some Twitter bots, designed a silly website about owls and have spent many, many hours getting Docker to bend to my wishes. All of these have been lacking in escalating complexity and after numerous recommendations from around the web I’ve come here.
My name is Marlo Dickens.
I am learning to code so that I may be able to create websites.
I have been learning so far by using videos and freecodecamp.
Hello! My name is Lillia. I am 27 year old career changing hopeful. I want to transition away from being a nursing assistant into a field where I can help create solutions to consumer problems. You might say that caregiving is a solution to the growing problem of the need for quality eldercare, and to that I’d say you’re right; however, I’ve found caregiving/being a nursing assistant isn’t my life long career dream. I’m specifically interested in programming because it is such an elegant, yet logical, way to create and solve problems! I’ve been learning primarily through freecodecamp and textbooks and reading source code on websites. I’m also studying elements of design as well and having a blast!
Hello everyone!
I’m Alex and I’m currently living in Paraguay, but about to move to Japan around january next year so, I hope to finish at least two of the first 400hs programs before getting there.

Hello. My name is Dorota and I’m animator and graphic designer. I’ve been learning coding since last year because I want to become front-end developer.
I’m Wongala and i’m completely new to coding. I have a help desk background but i’m looking for a career change. Hopefully freeCodeCamp can help with that!
My name is Justin and I live in Indiana currently. I am half way through an AS in Computer Science at a community college in my area. I enjoy coding and am hoping to start a career in programming after I complete my degree. I am working through freeCodeCamp to expand my knowledge in my free time. I am 37, so there is no time to take a leisurely pace!
Good luck to everyone!
My names Thomas, I’m 19 years old currently studying electrical engineering at the University of Cincinnati.
I’ve taken programming classes before (C++) but I want to become proficient in more than just 1 language. Programming is a hobby I enjoy and hope to continue.
Before this I’ve learn how to code through YouTube videos.
I am currently studying for my bachelor’s degree in computer science. I’ve been having trouble seeing projects through and I am hoping that with FCC I will get to improve my skills in web development.
Hello people! My name is Scott and I’m currently a grower of flowering plants. Maybe it sounds fun, but its hot working in a greenhouse in FL! I’ve been learning to code for about 2 months using codecademy mostly. I’m excited to start freeCodeCamp!
Hello everyone!
I am Kritika Rupauliha from India. I am an 18 year old musician and singer.
I just finished giving my high school finals yesterday. So I have hundreds of hours to kill and decided to try coding since I will be majoring in computer science and engineering starting from this August.
Hi I’m Joe. I live in Ohio and make music, doodle, play golf, and work construction jobs.
I’ve long had an interest in actually knowing how to code. This is also a requirement for Code Platoon, which I am applying to. I signed up for FCC before I knew about it, and have been researching all the possible routes to go with learning code.
The only coding I’ve done is in Tumblr and other websites, copy and pasting code and googling everything. So far this is the only attempt to learn code. I read Bill Gates autobiography if that counts.
I’m a Graphic Designer who typical does print work but also helps with UI/UX for WebDevs/Programers who want to step up their design game. This also means I need to step up my code skills.
Graduated school with a degree in Digital Media but really want to brush up on coding again. I’ve done trials of TreeHouse, CodeCademy. I’ve also done some course on Lynda and Skillshare but FCC seems more comprehensive so I’m looking forward to diving in.
I am Steven, I am studying an IT course in AIT, Australia.
I come to code because of ambition, of being able to do what I like and prepare for my future career as a developer.
I have been working for a Japanese company as a .NET developer since 2015.
Nice to meet you guys, wish we could talk and solve many challenges out there together.
