Hi, I’m learning how to code because I want to apply my interest in creating to computers. Eventually I’d like to write software and build web sites, maybe do IT. I know zilch about coding. Well, that’s not true! Since I’ve been on freeCodeCamp, I have learned how to write basic elements and create buttons, basic differences between HTML5 and CSS and jQUERY. So I’m on my way. Thank freeCodeCamp
I’d love to join the many others who have earned a certificate and gone on to develop their skills in the professional world.
That’s really great! Good luck to you … so far it seems like such a great community, so many people sharing and learning. So excited to learn coding for graphics and non-profit based projects!

HI guys!
My name is Will. I’m learning to code to get out of low paying factory type jobs and to enable me to make a living while traveling. I’ve done a little python coding for fun but other than that I don’t have much experience. I look forward to completing all the challenges and getting to know some of you guys on the forum.

Hi Guys,
I’m 27 from China, a simulation engineer relying on software for good product improvements. I want to dive into the original code myself to know how they build the structure based on Newton’s law. I’m also interested in data analysis and visualization. Only 3 days so far since I started learning coding.

Hey campers!
I’m Bruno, a 34 year old French guy living in the Netherlands. I currently work as a QA engineer for a video games company.
I’ve started coding when I was a kid, in the Basic programming language, first on an Amstrad computer and then on a Casio calculator (that’s where I made my first game, yay!). I studied computer sciences at the university, but I dropped out of my master’s degree because it was way too theoretical and oriented towards a PhD and research, which I didn’t like.
I might write an article on Medium about how I dealt with failure and how I went back on track, if you guys are interested.
I’ve been back to active coding about 4 years ago (C# and Python mainly), but it’s only since a year ago that I’m working for a company that does web and mobile development. I’m tired of being a QA engineer (testing is boring), and I want to be a full-stack web/mobile developer.
I’m interested in the logic of the backend and the frontend more than making stuff look beautiful with CSS. So far I find web development quite easy to learn, probably given my experience with other languages.
I’ve been combining videos from CodeSchool.com, Udemy.com, with official docs and FreeCodeCamp.com. I love FCC because it makes me practice my new skills.
So far I’ve completed all the Nodejs, Express, and Mongodb parts. I’m currently learning React and will also learn React Native. I admit I skipped all the basic HTML, CSS, Javascript parts, because I knew the basics already and I’m a bit impatient. But I’m now going through these because I want to get the full-stack certificate in the end!
I’ll be looking for people to pair-program at some point, mainly people who are good at design and CSS. Cheers!
Greetings,
My name is Alexander and I'm currently residing in Maryland. I've been teaching myself coding in erratic bursts learning multiple languages and frameworks of the month without ever mastering anything. After debating attending a coding boot camp I decided to give this a shot first. I'd like to eventually turn coding from hobby to career.
hy i am BG. i love coding because coding helps to share my imagination in real world. i love the concept here at FCC how they teach us. and i wish FCC will teach android ios programming also.

Hello everyone,
I’m Hien Pham from Vietnam.
I’m frontend developer and I join FreeCodeCamp to sharpen my skill set because I’d like to become a freelancer.
Nice to meet you guys!
Hello! My name is Matt!
I work in the IT field at a local college. I like working in IT, but I have always been passionate to some degree or another about coding. I had a Comp Sci minor (BS in Geography) in college and learned a lot of interesting things about coding. That was almost 10 years ago now, and the field has changed quite a bit.
I recently decided that I want to pursue coding on a deeper level at the very least as a hobby. It seems like a great skillset to have and can lead to fun and interesting projects. I started doing some courses from various online places, including some pay/subscription sites. Then I stumbled on freeCodeCamp, and started going through some of the challenges. The interactivity and seemingly great and active community makes freeCodeCamp seem like an ideal learning community. I am very excited to keep learning and eventually start working on larger hobby projects of my own.
That’s me in short! Hello to everyone, and enjoy coding!
