Hey everyone
Iām Kelvin from Singapore, took a diploma studying IT and now diving more into web development!
So far, Iāve worked on a few mini-projects using PHP, basic javascript and HTML/CSS, spent 6 months in a start-up as a project manager and learned quite a lot about the industry.
Now picking up Ruby and Bootstrap!
Interested to meet more people here and we can help each other along the way with the challenges!
Found out quite a number of resources from the forums here so if youāre looking for a good guide to learning this whole thing, you can check out the forums!
All the best everyone!
Hi everyone, my name is Clayton, and Iām an 18 y/o that just graduated high school. Iāll be majoring in Computer Science at UCLA this fall! (Shoutouts to Class of 2021)
Iāve been coding for 3 years in high school, starting off with Java since that was part of the curriculum. I branched off to learn Python and a little bit of MATLAB mainly because I had to learn those on my own for competitions/internship. Itās cool and all to start out early(ish), but I know that what Iāve learned is only one little part of everything there is out there relating to technology, and Iām still not close to being qualified for any computer job. Since Iām just moving into new responsibilities, I wanted to find a summer job/internship where I could put my skills into use and get more experience/knowledge about the industry, but itās already too late. As a result, I came here to freeCodeCamp to strengthen my profile and if I even get to this point, code as a volunteer for nonprofits.
I started out learning programming in school, but toward the later part of my high school, learned mostly through long-term projects I set for myself and engineering competitions I competed in. Now that Iām out of high school, Iām learning HTML and CSS first since I donāt know front-end at all. I started off with Codecademy, but moved over to freeCodeCamp since it has been working better for me. Thankfully, my church has also let me completely revamp their website, so I can add that to my experience. Hopefully I can grind enough and grow my network to land a job soon. Iām really excited for whatās to come in the next few months!
Hi!,
Iām Kim Nejudne from the Philippines. Iām here to learn programming, particularly full-stack web development. Iām 28 years old and I need a career change. Iām excited to learn everything that free code camp can teach me.
So far, Iāve only been watching youtube videos to teach myself html and css. Iāve read about free code camp at reddit and decided to check it out myself and so far Iām loving it!
Thanks
Hello fellow campers.
My name is Nathan.
Iām learning to code to open up my qualifications for future jobs.
So far, I have tried a number of online programs, but this one is my favorite so far! I hope by the end of the front end section I will be able to contribute to projects!
Hello I am Brandon, I have been in a sales position for years now, and to say it is unfulfilling would be an understatement. I have always had a passion for computers, so what better way to express it than to learn to speak its language.
I have been learning how to program for a little over a year now, taking a course here or there at my local community college which I am now supplementing with FCC. Although I get lost among many programming languages nuances it is still fun. I enjoy HTML, CSS, etc, because of how instantly gratifying it is. with all of the libraries available you can do anything. with the help of FCC I hope to fully transition from Sales within the next year.
Hey everyone!
My name is Ishan and I am a recent graduate. Iām from India, but I got my degree in Physics (with minors in Mathematics, Music, and English) from the University of Kansas, USA. As you can tell, Iām a person of varied interests, and though my passion lies in the world of music, Iām learning to code in order to keep the scientific part of my brain stimulated.
I took a few coding classes in college (C++) and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
So hereās to learning more (and hopefully putting it all to good use someday) and I look forward to communicating with you all!
Hi everyone! I am happy to be part of a community that is willing to learn how to code. I am currently a student in college who is interested in computer science and mathematics. I know a bit of C++ and Java. I havenāt been working on anything lately because of school, but I am hoping to change that soon.
Hello wonderful people,
I am Genesis and I am a double expat from Ecuador to US to UK and I love the web (and cats.)
My interest in coding sparked while majoring in Geography in Northeastern Illinois University. Iād embarked on a GIS certificate program to compliment my Geography degree. My professor was fanastic and had us build a portfolio of our maps using bootstrap and github pages. It made me feel slightly frustrated because I felt front-end development what I wanted to be doing as well as urban planning.
An idea sparked in my head. I figured I would start my journey with front-end development (since I spend free time with designing my stationary cards for friends and marketing materials for my husband artistic works.) Then on the side work on civic tech that will combine my passions together.
I first started to code on Neopets at the age of 12. I stopped basic coding when Myspace went away and was dazzled to start again during my GIS class. Ever since my GIS courses, I went to DevelopItGirl meetups and such in Chicago. I used good old Google and Youtube to assist me with some projects. I bought some books from Amazon to use as a resource and practice my html5/css3 skills. I bought the JS and JQuery version too but I found it difficult to practice. So I resorted on going to a Javascript meetup to see what I could learn and what I could resort to.
Presently I am using freecodecamp because a girl in a Bristol JS meetup told me about it. I feel like it has provided some clarity and I am amazed by how far tech is going to extend to communities around the globe. I love it.

My name is Rory, I am a business analyst for an insurance firm and have been working with technology for a number of years. I am very much a business side person and I want to learn to code to give me scope to move between the realms of business and technology.
I have so far learned to code HTML with CSS and bootstrap and had a sneak peak at JQuery.
