Good day everyone
My name is Musa Ahmadu a Civil Engineer, self taught Graphic Designer.
The concept of code has always looked difficult for me, why i want to learn is to create apps, in my opinion code will move humanity to next level of advancement and if we do not learn code we will be left behind.
I have been learning so far using this platform freecode camp, it has removed the fear of code and brought up to speed with knowing it.

Hello, I’m Shawn.

I’m learning to code because I want to change careers and become a developer.

So far I’ve used w3schools and the Mozilla Developer Network as a reference and currently I’m using Free Code Camp along with Rob Percival’s Complete Web Developer 2.0 course on Udemy.

I’m looking forward to learning with everyone else!

Hey, everyone!

My name is Kevin. This is the beginning into my journey as a programmer, and hopefully, revolutionary thinker and leader in our technological future.

I am learning to code for several reasons:

  1. It’s a greatly needed skill in any industry
  2. It’s fun
  3. So i can try to land a part-time job/internship at a local company while I finish my CS degree
  4. So I can build/create things

So far, the process of learning has been difficult. The reason is because there are way too many resources out there, and it causes a form of mental paralysis. It’s difficult to find good resources that teach in a logical, step by step process, and that is task based. There are lots of bad resources out there, and a few good ones. It’s hard to find the good ones.

freeCodeCamp I think is a good resource to start with. Perhaps not comprehensive or perfect, but it certainly helps form a basic foundation to build on (as long as you do some extra research on your own). It also can possibly provide a good basis for me to potentially land an internship, which is another reason I’m doing this.

In the end, I don’t plan on mainly being a programmer throughout my entire life. As I hinted at in the opening paragraph, my hope is that I can have an active role in leading and creating the future for our society/world. The potential is enormous, and I’m excited. My goals seem a long ways away, but everyone has to start somewhere, right!? Here’s to the future!

I’m sixteen, I dropped out of highschool about a few months ago, I’m bilingual, I’m planning on being a tatoo artist to get me started but I want to become a programmer as soon as possible, I’m learning code well first of all because coding and computer science is very interesting and fun for me and I would like to create something with code, I’m very creative and I certainly have a lot of ideas and imagination as to what I would want to create. Learning code so far has been relatively easy but I am quite scared that I might forget some of the code I’ve learnt, maybe with a lot of practice it might be okay though, as to how I did learn to code I just searched for courses online that are free and that’s it really.

Hi, my name’s Adrian and i’m learning to code because i want to develop my my career in that direction. i currently work on producing new websites and content for websites for different departments in local government. I don’t currently do the coding but i have a background writing Excel VBA, and i really enjoyed that so i’m looking to get a bit more into the javascript side.

I have quite good SEO, accessibility and user testing knowledge as well, so when it comes to what needs to go into the site after the codey part i’m already there. SEO is something you need to be thinking about when you design a site imo.

For me the first sections on HTML and CSS were nothing new. i hadn’t used bootstrap before but was aware of it as the designers at work use it. enjoying it so far
