What Actually Is freeCodeCamp?

Hello everyone! I’m new here, and I’m trying to understand what exactly freeCodeCamp is.

From what I understand, freeCodeCamp is a community, but I’m still not sure what its main purpose is. I found free courses, news, podcasts, and a forum here.

So, what is the main focus of freeCodeCamp? the forum or the courses?

If it’s mainly a forum, then I’m definitely in the right place. If it’s mainly about free courses, that’s also great!

I initially thought freeCodeCamp was a blogging site. If it is, how can I start blogging here?

So ig the main focus is the courses, bcz the forum is built to help people who are stuck. I don’t think the blogging part is the primary goal, but there are a lot of people publishing. Here, everyone is acting to create a learning platform, and it takes multiple forms.

I didn’t find a way to start publishing articles though, sorry :sweat_smile:

freeCodeCamp is a non-profit organization with the goal of making learning accessible (and free)

there are also a discord server, a reddit community, a youtube channel…
