Why should age matter? The computer doesn't care!

I have seen posts asking questions like, ‘45 - too old for a dev job?’

The computers do not care how old you are. They have no wants nor needs. If age prevents someone from getting a dev job, then it is probably prejudiced employers, but not always. Of course, there is a point in life when humans start to fail, getting sick more often, failing organs, etc; but coding must be one of the most accessible jobs around. It is ideal for those who cannot perform physical work; you could even do it from your bed! With all of the collaboration tools available, that is no joke.

If you are ever rejected from a coding job based on age alone, send a nice reply: ‘The computer doesn’t care how old I am. Why did you?’
