This isn’t a question of ‘settle’. AI simply is incapable of making the things computer programmers make.
The LLM based AI are not evolving like animals do. New improvements keep getting designed, but they aren’t alive.
The AI replacing software engineers is exaggerated.
For example, GitHub Copilot, Chat GPT, or any other AI tool automatically suggests code snippets and replaces repetitive tasks to make coding productive.
