I got annoyed with Windows not having a native way to do this. App is 15kB.

Auto-switch a laptop display refresh rate based on power source on Windows 11:

  • Plugged in (AC) → 120 Hz
  • On battery → 60 Hz

It runs as a lightweight system-tray app. No install, no admin, no .NET SDK - compiled against the .NET Framework 4.x runtime that ships with Windows 11.

Wow Windows should definitely do this natively. Kudos to you for stepping in and taking matters into your own hands.
