Applying all across the country?

Do you guys think it’s worth applying all across the country (assuming you’re willing to move), or focusing on one’s local area? I’m in Los Angeles and the big cities tend to have tech hubs but there is obviously lots of competition too.

I put about 50% of my effort into local jobs (San Francisco) and the other half around the country. I ended up getting a job in another state. If you’re willing to move, then apply there too. Figure out where you’d be willing to move and what you’d be willing to accept for it.

Yes, the Bay Area had a lot or jobs, but there was also an insane amount of talent,
