I’m in American living in Thailand. I’ll probably take a job in San Diego (Will try freelancing first to see if it’s viable though). If I move to San Diego before getting a job the rents will be quite high, but I’ll be able to interview in person. If I wait to move until companies show interest then I reduce the rent issue but don’t know how I would handle the interviewing itself (flying over on short notice).
Has anyone else dealt with applying for a job in a non-local area? How did you overcome the interview hurdle?
